Congratulations to Ryan Travers on being awarded The Most Improved Player in the Surrey Under 17 squad. A product of our Mini and Juniors since he was an Under 9, Ryan has been part of the Surrey County and Harlequins squads since he was an Under 14 and his achievement this season is well deserved for a player who has moved from the back row to centre this year.
Congratulations to the Under 21 squad who beat London Irish in a thrilling Surrey Under 21 Plate final at Sutton & Epsom by 24 – 18. In an enthralling game, the Under 21s showed how they have grown as a unit of committed players giving all in the name of "Green and Blue". With the bulk of this squad still under 21 next season, the possibilities of further success are great.
The Ex AXV (aka The Pups) took the Surrey Combination 2 league crown on Saturday with a resolute 8-10 victory away at Old Johnians. Unbeaten in the league since early October, the boys have been outstanding all season, staying true to their usual brand of fast and flamboyant rugby. The commitment everyone has shown throughout the season was personified in the game on Saturday, with a massive physical effort against a skillful and fired up Johnians side. Captain Seal is looking forward to leading his troops to Twickenham for the Surrey Awards Dinner on Thursday 24th May.
