it is my sad duty to tell you all that David (Davy) Jones died at the weekend.
He came back to the UK just a few short years ago from working in the oil industry in the Middle East.
Looking for some 'mates' in the locality he immediately signed up for the 'Glorious Vets' and was a big part of our successful Evergreen Cup run 2 seasons ago.
Davy was the embodiment of all that is good about rugby - "I bloody love this game ..." - I've lost count of how many times he said that, whilst he was rushing to be first at the bar after the game.
Davy leaves 4 children from his first marriage and his beloved second wife Ramona.
His funeral will be at St Johns Church Redhill on Monday 3rd June, details of the wake will be posted here when known.
What?
As some of you will know Old Reigatian is in an extremely fortunate position to have the use of Fonthill (a 9 bedroom house in Reigate) at its disposal to house players who come to play for us throughout the season.
All Reigatian's kindly note that the 1st Team pitch is being repaired and re-seeded after the battering that it has taken this season from the weather and the boot!
Bob, Drew and some new faces are looking forward to meeting both past and new players to their camp. The cost per person is £140 which includes 5 days of coaching (9 am to 3 pm), awards, prizes, T-Shirt and more.

Nick Grant, the 1st XV's imperious no 10 and top points scorer last season spent this summer in Argentina working on a special project in Buenos Aries with a new rugby club, Floresta RFC and he wants our help.
