Rugby World Cup winning coach Lou Meadows has joined Old Reigatian RFC’s women’s and girls’ section as a consultant.
This season, Old Reigatian RFC has launched a new adult women’s side to capitalise on its established place as one of the country’s leading girls’ clubs, already boasting players who have represented county, Super BUCS, PWR (Premiership Women’s Rugby), and the U18 and U21 international teams.
On her appointment, Lou said:
“The women’s game is growing so fast and I’m looking forward to helping players and coaches develop further and reach their potential. ”
From November, as well as coaching the girls in targeted sessions, Lou will mentor a number of players and coaches at the club while also delivering a number of off-the-field education sessions.
Want to be part of it? Come and give rugby a go.
We welcome players of all standards and experience levels, from complete beginners to established players.
