Brian Small, Head of Rugby at Dunottar School, joins the ORs Senior Coaching Team next season. For the last few seasons, Brian has been working with the U16s and Colts age groups. He will be expanding his role to become Head of Transition.
Brian will continue to work with the Colts alongside the coaches who have worked with the players through the age groups. He will also take on the role as 2nd XV Head Coach where he will continue to develop young players, encouraging their integration alongside the more experienced 2nd XV players. Hopefully, this will continue the flow of players, who have learnt their craft playing in the fantastic Old Reigatian Youth & Mini sections, to go on to represent the 1st XV.
Brian also has plenty of experience coaching Senior Teams. He is currently 1st XV Head Coach at Chipstead RFC. Leading them to finish the season 4th in Counties 2 and reach the semi-final of the Papa John’s Cup against Harrow. He also won Surrey Lower Leagues Coach of the Season 2022. We are very pleased Brian has decided to join the Senior section. We look forward to seeing the young talent develop and represent the Club at the highest level.
The club would like to thank Steve Pilgrim for all his work over the years coaching the 2nd XV. We wish him every success for the future. We’re delighted to say that Steve will be remaining an active member of the club. He has been a part of it for many years, and indeed played for it in the past with some notable success.
