Inaugural Eagles SE Friday Night Lights Touch Rugby Tournament

Despite being advertised as a mixed competition, OR’s Reigatian Force team were the only ones to field a genuine mixed squad with Laura, Jocelyn and Sophia showing up other teams with their finely honed Touch Rugby skills. Led by El Capitano Jason Potter, the other team members were also regulars from our Monday night Touch sessions, with a guest appearance from our friend Eggchaser Arun. A spread of ages from 14-54 brought a great balance of youth, vitality but also wisdom and treachery as the Force team won 3 and drew 1 of their 4 matches, being crowned worthy winners of the event.

It is our inclusivity that we are most proud of with Touch at Old Reigatians, our friendly, open Monday night sessions proving that our mixed touch can not only be a lot of fun but we can also be winners. We look forward to lots of future events like this one and a few to be held at our own amazing club.
