Also, this season they have Bill Davidson back in charge. Many, many years ago, we played against each other when Davo was at Harlequins. He was also my first Captain at Surrey, when he returned to his childhood club to finish his playing days. Now he is in his second spell as 1XV Coach, having left Chobham over the summer to replace Steve Pope, whose work has taken him to Norfolk.
