A sell out pre match lunch on Saturday, where we raised £700 for charity, was followed by a superb 52-15 victory over Winchester. Then we welcomed Brendan back to the club for the party to celebrate promotion.
On Sunday we hosted the Surrey under 11 Festival. Organised with customary efficiency by Tom Brading and his willing team of helpers. Priority car parking raised a further £500 for Sporting MS.
Meanwhile the Colts beat Chipstead in their Group Final of the Harlequin Cup Competition. Whilst the under 15 Boys, whose existence was in doubt at the beginning of the season, beat Wimbledon in their Group Final of the same competion.
The icing on the cake was the Under 15 Girls winning their National Cup semi-final against Winscombe in Somerset. Winning 14-0 in a very competitive and hard fought game. The final will be on 1st May 2022 with the venue still to be advised.
We have received glowing messages of appreciation for our hospitality from both Winchester and Winscombe.
Thanks are due to everyone that helped to make such a success of the weekend from grounds staff to catering and the bar to all the parents, coaches and players – we have a club that we can be immensely proud of.
