Old Reigatian 2nd XV v Battersea Ironsides XV, Match Report

So, this season’s OR 2nd XV / Battersea Ironside trilogy concluded with a resounding victory for the visitors. No excuses – we were outplayed, rather like Exeter at Toulouse, by a superior side, who were able to edge up through the gears every time they needed to pull away from us.
Sidcup v Old Reigatian 1st XV, Match Report

On Saturday Old Reigatian travelled to Sidcup to play their last league fixture of the season. Sidcup who started the season with fixture defeats on the trot have managed to turn their season around and going into this fixture hadn’t lost since December winning their last nine fixtures. Old Reigatian 2nd XV v Cobham 2nd XV, Match Report

As the final scenes of the afternoon’s proceedings were playing out, with Harry Smith and Aran Courtney Walker having combined to score one final try and complete the rout of Cobham, thoughts turned to reflect on THE performance [save the best until last] of the season, and also the journey that has been made by this whole group from the early signs of life against Dorking, in September, to the formed beast that is the Old Reigatian 2nd XV.
Old Reigatian 1st XV v Gravesend, Match Report

Old Reigatian hosted Gravesend in the last Home league fixture this season. Which on the whole has been a very successful season with OR’s in the mix to win the league three fixtures ago when they faced Battersea at Home and the chances of the title slipping away with a 25-19 loss.
Old Reigatian 2nd XV v Old Caterhamiams 2nd XV (Friendly)

With Weybridge Vandals unable to honour the league fixture, a friendly was arranged at Park Lane, and, despite the atrocious weather conditions, ORs managed to secure a comfortable victory against spirited opponents, with some outstanding passages of play, alongside a few lapses in concentration, which kept the game flowing and Cats competing to the final whistle.
Medway RFC v Old Reigatian 1st XV, Match Report

Saturday OR’s travelled to Rochester in Kent to play Medway RFC. Medway, like last week’s opponents have hit a rich vein of form recently winning their last six games. Once Old Reigatians are struggling with injuries missing key players such as Tom Allen, Dan Jones, Sam Foreman & Ryan Taylor Travers.
Old Reigatian 1st XV v Old Alleynians, Match Report

Last Saturday Old Reigatian hosted Old Alleynians, OR’s had a comfortable victory at their ground in Dulwich earlier on in the season with a 14-31 victory. However recently OA’s have been the in form Team in the league winning they last seven games and only failing to score over 50 points twice. Therefore Reigatian sitting one place above OA’s with a single point lead in the league table this was always going to be a tough fixture I’m not sure anybody was prepared for how tough!
Chobham 2nd XV v Old Reigatian 2nd XV (Friendly)

As the half time whistle blew, thoughts turned to how the match report could read at all positively – lines such as ‘Some days the pigeon, but today the statue’, or the Latin phrase ‘O me miserum!’ [Woe is me!] sprang to mind.
Battersea Ironsides v Old Reigatian 1st XV, Match Report

Old Reigatian 1st XV travelled into London to play league leaders Battersea Ironsides. With only two points separating the sides this was always going to be a closely fought game and Saturday was not a disappointment.
